This Privacy Policy explains how AspirantLink (“we”, “us”, “our”), which operates the website aspirantlink.in, collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data. We are based in Telangana, India, and this policy is written to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and the SPDI Rules, 2011) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

By using this website you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What data we collect

Data you give us directly

Account data — your email address and password when you register, or your name, email address and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
Mobile number — if you start a test using a phone number instead of an account.
Order data — billing name, email, phone and billing address when you purchase an access pass or a test.
Communications — anything you send us by email, comment or contact form.

Data generated when you use the site

Test data — the answers you select, time spent per question, your score, and the topic-wise accuracy used to generate your SWOT report.
Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited and referring URL, collected through cookies and analytics.

What we do NOT collect

We do not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. All payments are processed on the payment gateway’s own secure page. We only receive a payment confirmation and a transaction reference.

2. Why we use your data

To create and run your account and let you log in.
To deliver the tests you have taken or purchased, and to generate your SWOT report.
To save your test history so you can track progress over time.
To process payments, issue access, and handle refund or support requests.
To send you transactional emails (order confirmation, access details, password reset).
To send you updates about new papers, exams and job notifications — only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe from any such email using the link at the bottom of it.
To understand how the site is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
To detect fraud, content scraping and misuse of the test platform.

3. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you register, take a test or make a purchase, and where processing is necessary to perform the service you have asked for or to comply with law. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to support@aspirantlink.in.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for three purposes:

Essential cookies — to keep you logged in, remember your cart and run the test timer. The site does not work without these.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to see which pages and tests are used and where users drop off. This data is aggregated.
Advertising cookies — if and when we run Google AdSense or remarketing, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but essential cookies are required for tests to function.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the site:

Hosting — our web host, which stores the site and its database.
Payment gateway — to process your payment and confirm it.
Google — for Google Sign-In, Google Analytics and (where applicable) AdSense.
Email service — to send transactional and opt-in emails.

We may also disclose data if required by a court order, a lawful government request, or to protect our legal rights.

6. How long we keep it

Account and test data — for as long as your account is active, and for up to 12 months after you request deletion, in backups only.
Order and payment records — for 8 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law.
Analytics data — as per Google Analytics retention settings.

7. Security

The site runs over HTTPS with an SSL certificate. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data and will inform you of any breach that affects you.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
Correct any data that is wrong or out of date.
Ask us to delete your account and personal data.
Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time.
Raise a grievance if you believe your data has been misused.

To exercise any of these, email support@aspirantlink.in from the address registered on your account. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Our tests are for competitive-exam aspirants and the site is not directed at children under 18. If you are under 18, please use the site only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without verifiable parental consent, and will delete any such data if it is brought to our notice.

10. Third-party links

The site links to official exam websites, our YouTube channel, and our Telegram and WhatsApp channels. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will always show the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site.
